Human brains are hardwired to recover in a loving supportive environment
You want things to be different. You want to, once and for all, conquer those self-defeating or self-sabotaging behaviors. You want to break out of those relationship ruts. You want to be able to cope with this crisis better. You want to feel better about yourself and feel comfortable in your own skin. You want to feel... happy. And something keeps getting in your way. Coming to the conclusion that you need help outside of what your friends or family can provide is tough enough. Finding a therapist you can trust and believe in can actually be even tougher. I understand that first hand.
You will find me engaging, respectful, non-judgmental, collaborative and open. I know every therapist says that about themselves. Meaning... you do have to take a risk to make the call, or write the email. What I can guarantee is that I do my own healing work so I can really show up authentically for you. I also like to talk about the process of therapy so you never feel that you're in the dark about what we're doing or what's going on. Within relationships that are actually supportive we naturally change, grow, and thrive.
I have advanced training in emotional, cognitive, mind-body, and trauma-repair models of treatment, and engage in open dialogue so we can make sure what we do is working for you. By exploring your experience and stuck places by slowing down with curiosity, compassion, and a mindful focus (those are the KEY components!), you can transform developmental wounds, discover your truth, and find the freedom to live the life you always wanted. Change can happen. I offer free phone consultations Monday-Friday.
